Wireless Inventory

The Mobile Inventory Computer from HBS Systems revolutionizes the way inventory counts are done in your dealership, making it possible to complete physical counts on an ongoing basis rather than just once a year. Best of all, it can be used to take physical inventory for Parts, Wholegoods/Units, and Retail Merchandise.

Leverage Your Existing Investment in Barcoding Technology

Leverage your investment in standard HBS bar-coding guns and networked barcode printers with a real-time parts inventory capability  Simply roam through the parts bins, scan the bin labels or machine tags, and enter your new piece count directly into the HBS Dealership Management System using the wireless network connection.  Reports can be run at any time to provide details on the new counts and adjustments.

Take Daily Inventory Year-Round

The biggest advantage of this technology is the ability to take ongoing, incremental inventory year-round, thus eliminating the need for the "dreaded and feared" annual inventory at the end of the year. By simply counting a few bins per day, you can keep closer tabs on your in-stock items and improve fill rates through accurate on-hand counts. Because the counts are real-time, there is no need to print out cumbersome bin-count sheets. Simply carry the wireless gun to the bins you wish to count, scan the barcode bin label and enter the on-hand quantity. It's fast and easy.

Works for Parts, Wholegoods/Units and Retail Merchandise

The wireless inventory computer is fully integrated with the Parts and Unit Inventory applications within the HBS Dealership Management System. As a result, bin count information entered through the device updates the inventory master records so there is no need to re-enter information through a workstation. Wholegood/Unit counts are also a snap. If you have a large lot or remote unit storage locations, you can take the gun to the location to scan the UV coated barcode label. When you return to the dealership in range of your wireless network, the gun will automatically upload the inventory information into your HBS Dealership Management System.
