Bob Stone, Chairman and President
Bob Stone, our Chairman, President and co-founder, held various positions during his 22 year career at International Harvester Company. His areas of expertise include thirteen years in parts operations including Branch Parts Manager and District Parts Manager with the Truck Division in Missouri and Kansas. He spent nine years with Corporate Information Services as an Area Manager for the Southeast Regions of the US and provided systems technology to IH dealers (Truck, Ag, and CE Divisions) required to automate Parts, Accounting and Communications functions. He spent much of his time in Chicago revising and reviewing software and hardware changes for updating dealer systems. Bob was raised on a farm in southeastern Kansas and has spent many hours operating tractors & equipment while working with his father and brother before joining International Harvester. Bob spends some of his spare time restoring & showing older IH trucks (1912 to 1929) and tractors (1949 to 1971).
Dee Wall, Chief Operating Officer
Dee Wall, our Chief Operating Officer, spent four years with International Harvester Company serving as an Accountant at an IH retail agricultural dealership, Dealer Business Consultant and Area Parts Manager. He also spent two years as Controller of an independent, multi-location agricultural dealership. Prior to joining HBS Systems in 1993, Mr. Wall served as President for a value-added reseller of business systems to heavy-duty truck dealers and agricultural equipment dealers. Mr. Wall holds a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.
John Mathison, Chief Financial Officer
John Mathison, our Chief Financial Officer, also serves as our Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Prior to joining HBS Systems, Mr. Mathison spent five years with a Dallas CPA firm where he specialized in financial auditing, accounting compilation, and client tax matters. He has also served as Controller of a truck dealership where he oversaw the financial and IT operations for the enterprise. Mr. Mathison is a 1992 summa cum laude graduate of University of Texas in Arlington, Texas.
Lynn Reed, Chief Technology Officer
Lynn Reed, our Chief Technology Officer, has spent the majority of his career in the equipment industry. Mr. Reed began his professional career in the oil services industry, providing advanced oil drilling rig monitoring systems and software for Shell, Texaco and Chevron for both onshore and offshore operations. Upon relocation to Texas in 1985, Mr. Reed began his career in the equipment industry as a Field Services Engineer for a systems provider. In early 1986, Mr. Reed moved to HBS Systems as one of the original four startup members of the company. Mr. Reed is a magna cum laude graduate holding a B.S. in Electronics from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Chad Stone, Vice President of Operations
Chad Stone, our Vice President of Operations, began his professional career working for a large, multi-national consumer and business-to-business retailer where he focused on New Business Development and Outside Sales for the enterprise. In 1995, Mr. Stone joined HBS Systems where he spent four years assisting clients with the installation, configuration, training and implementation of their new HBS Dealership Management System. Over the next twelve years, Mr. Stone progressed through the sales side of the business managing new system sales activity for the Western Region of both the United States and Canada. Most recently, Mr. Stone served as National Account Manager, where he focused on sales and business development activities including industry OEM’s and their dealer/distributor organizations.
