eWare

Have you ever received a software update from your system vendor and forgot to install it? If so, it was probably because it would take too much time to shut down the dealership, kick everyone off the system and/or come in over the weekend to apply the update.  With the HBS Dealership Management System, those days are over.  Only HBS Systems offers fully automated software updates via the Internet. Your system contacts our secure data center servers each night. If there are any updates available, ECLIPSE downloads and installs them automatically. No downloads, no downtime, no employee time, and no missed updates!

Always Operate on the Most Current Software Release

eWare automatically keeps your HBS software up-to-date and current. Your server will check each night to see if there are any updates ready to be downloaded. If so, the update will be automatically transferred from our secure data center servers to your dealership server. ECLIPSE eWare then applies the updates, checks the installation, and generates a report showing you what was updated.  Nothing could be easier.

No System Downtime

With many systems, you must kick all users off the system to apply a software update. This kills productivity and interrupts dealership operations. With HBS Systems, it's all done automatically with no system downtime. This saves your dealership time and money, while always keeping your system up-to-date with the latest features and functions.

Updates HBS Software PC's and Wireless Mobile Inventory Devices

eWare goes beyond your HBS Dealership Management System server to provide fully-automated, unattended HBS software updates on any attached PC's, wireless mobile inventory guns, and other devices attached to your HBS Dealership Management System. With eWare, your entire system configuration is always up-to-date with the latest releases from HBS.

New Software Installed Immediately

The same functionality that provides ongoing updates, is also used to download new HBS software that you license. For example, if you call in and purchase a new software module such as Credit Card Processing, our system specialists can have the software installed and functioning the same day. No more waiting days or weeks to get a tape or CD in the mail.  Only HBS Systems offers this advanced ECLIPSE eWare functionality.

  • Fully-Automated, Unattended Software Updates via ECLIPSE
  • No System Downtime Required - Users can stay logged in and working
  • No Manual Intervention - No need to come in after hours or over the weekend to apply software updates
  • Newly licensed software can be installed instantly
